Body Care Product Review: ROSA FINA INNOCENCE CREAMY FACE WASH by Barefoot Botanicals

About the Product:

This face wash has a lovely creamy texture with a gorgeous smell .... I use it every morning and night and it makes my skin feel very clean and non-greasy, it doesn't feel dry or tight.

According to the instructions you are supposed to "massage over skin in circular sweeps then remove with a damp cloth" but I prefer to splash my face with water to rinse it all off and it doesn't leave a residue.

It doesn't lather up so don't expect it to be full of bubbles!

Overall, I have been very happy to use this ..... I have had no adverse reaction ..... my skin does tend to be greasy and Barefoot Botanicals say that it is recommended for Sensitive, Mature, Rosacea, Fine Lines, Wrinkles, Scarring, Combination, Oily, Acne skin.

Body Care Product Review: A'KIN ANTI-OXIDANT DAY CREME

This is the most gorgeous rich and creamy face cream.  It is so easy to apply, quickly absorbing into my skin and has a lovely flowery scent which is not too overpowering.

I use it every morning after cleansing -- my skin can get greasy during the day but I have had no problems when I use this Cream -- it keeps my skin fresh and non-greasy all day.  I really love it!

Body Care Product Review: RADIUS ORIGINAL TOOTHBRUSH

About the Product:

The first and most popular Radius toothbrush, provides an all-over mouth clean. A wide oval head with 300% more premium bristles than any ordinary toothbrush distributes pressure, reduces erosion, and massages sensitive gum tissue while the handle has an ergonomic easy grip ensuring a dentist recommended 45 degree angle.  

As you can see in the above picture this is no ordinary toothbrush!  The head is far larger than any other toothbrush I've ever used and the handle is a completely different and unusual shape as well.

Unfortunately, I did not like using this toothbrush at all, I found it too unwieldy to use.  I thought the handle was uncomfortable to hold and I could not get used to the size of the brush head.  I just couldn't continue with it - I never got used to using it all - and I did try for quite a while!  It just wasn't for me.


The only compliment I can give it is that the bristles were lovely and soft.


Apparently, as the Radius bristles do not absorb water they last up to three times longer and only need replacing every 9 months instead of 3.

Body Care Product Review: COMVITA ANTI-AGEING RADIANCE PLUS LOTION

About the Product:

This is my second review of mypure’s new Comvita Anti-Ageing range and I have to say that they are both fabulous products to use and complement each other.

The pump action bottle is really easy to use and I’m pleased that it doesn’t all come out at once like some products do, you just obtain what you need.  The lotion is pale brown in colour, has a light consistency and spreads very easily over my face and absorbs very quickly as well.

The smell is not too strong which is good as I wasn’t too keen on it, but it does disappear when used.

It also absorbs the excess grease on my face and I can really tell a difference in the morning, my skin is not oily at all.  This is the first face lotion that I’ve used that really lessens the grease on my skin.

I use it every night and I’ve been very happy with the results so far.  Definitely one to recommend for mature skins that tend to get greasy, though it is suitable for normal to oily skin types.

Body Care Product Review: COMVITA ANTI-AGEING NOURISHING HAND AND NAIL CREAM

The cream is so thick yet so light and it really feels as if it's working straight away while it's gradually absorbing into my hands.




The best point about this wonderful Hand Cream is that it contains Manuka Honey which comes from the flowers of the manuka bush grown in New Zealand and has antibectarial properties over and above those of other honeys. (Taken from an article on the BBC website)

Beauty Care Product Review: A'KIN LEMONGRASS SHAMPOO FOR COMBINATION TO OILY HAIR

A'kin Lemongrass Shampoo is a gentle shampoo with 6 natural cleansers to deeply clean oily to combination hair and scalps. The complex formula gently dissolves oily scalp secretions without stripping the skin of its natural oils. 

 As soon as I put the shampoo onto my hair I could smell the gorgeous lemongrass fragrance.  I worked it into my scalp and it lathered up very quickly and then rinsed off easily.

It left my hair feeling soft and silky.

As it contains no harsh chemicals I know it's very gentle and good for my hair.  There are no parabens or sulphates in any of the A'kin products.

Body Care Product Review: A'KIN LAVENDER & ROSE MOISTURISING NIGHT CREAM

About the Product:  A’kin Lavender & Rose, Repairing Anti-oxidant Night Time Face Cream is a natural moisturiser packed with anti-oxidants, including alpha lipoic acid, Vitamin A, B5, C & E.  In a time release system which works whilst you sleep to add moisture and vitality to the skin.

This cream has the most delicious smell of Lavender and Rose which is not too overpowering, it’s got just the right amount of scent.
The consistency is rich and creamy and it was very quickly and easily absorbed into my skin, leaving it soft and not at all greasy.
I only needed to use a small amount so I think that this small pot will last a very long time, making it cost effective.

It does claim that “fine lines and wrinkles appear diminished. Your skin feels smoother with a glowing vitality.”

I haven’t really noticed that my fine lines and wrinkles have lessened yet but I live in hope!  
Overall, I think this is one of the nicest creams I’ve ever used.  I’m really pleased with it.

Body Care Product Review: LIVING NATURE TINTED MOISTURISER

Living Nature Tinted Moisturiser is perfect and light if you don't like wearing heavy foundation all day.

There are three colours to choose from: the mypure website gives you a good indication of what each colour looks like -

1. Dawn Light
2. Day Light
3. Evening Light

I chose the Dawn Light as my skin is very fair.  The moisturiser is quite easy to rub in -- if you’re quick!  Otherwise it dries on the skin and it becomes harder to rub in.  It is a nice thick consistency and the smell is not over-powering.  It gave my skin a nice even tone, covering wrinkles etc.  I was really impressed to find that it lasts all day too.

It is packed in a small black box inside of which is a container measuring approximately 4.5” x 2”.  I am also using the Living Nature Nourishing Daily Moisturiser which comes in a white container -- my review of that product is here.

Body Care Product Review: ACORELLE EAU DE PARFUM DISCOVERY SET

This pack contains 6 x 2ml sprays of Acorelle Eau de Parfums, which are

I think this is a really good idea if you want to sample the various perfumes without spending a large amount of money buying the full size bottles.  There’s a very good mix of different intoxicating scents, they are all very unique ….... my favourite is Rose, it’s sweet and light, just perfect for a spring day.

It comes in a nice sturdy presentation box and I think it would make a lovely present for a friend or a member of your family.

Body Care Product Review: A'kin Lemon Myrtle Hand Wash

A'kin Australian Native Rainforest Botanics Lemon Myrtle Hand Wash features Australian-grown Lemon Myrtle Oil, known for its anti-bacterial properties, in a synergistic blend of softening, skin-kind cleansers and stimulating aromatherapy oils for the ultimate in hand care.

The first thing I noticed on receipt of this Hand Wash was the bottle packaging.  What a disappointment it was, I thought it looked quite cheap, not something that I would associate with A'kin products at all. I normally love the look of all their products, I think they look very classy and always look good on the bathroom shelf but this just didn't look expensive at all. (Or maybe I'm just being a snob!)


It does have a lovely lemony smell, the clear liquid is thick and it lathers reasonably well.


It doesn't dry out my hands, they do feel nice and soft afterwards and it does what it says on the label -- 'naturally gentle, fresh & pure, for all skin types'


Overall, I think it is a really good product -- just a pity about the look of it!

Body Care Product Review: ALVA DAILY CARE VANILLA/ORANGE ROLL-ON DEODORANT

Mypure state that all their natural deodorants are certified organic and free from nasty chemicals.  NO parbens, NO aluminium, NO Propylene Glycol, NO artificial fragrance.  So you can be sure that everything that you put on your skin, like this Alva Daily Care Roll-On Deodorant, will be kind and gentle.

The smell of Vanilla and Orange is so delicious and sweet without being too strong, it didn't overpower the fragrance that I was wearing.

The Alva Deodorant was quite sticky at first and it did take a minute or two until I was completely sure that it wouldn't wet my clothes. It didn't stain them at all.

Overall, it did what it claimed on the mypure website: "helps prevent body odour and wetness for up to 24 hours." I didn't have any problems and I felt quite dry throughout the day.

This is another lovely hair product from mypure.co.uk that I have been using over the last few weeks.

If you've read my recent reviews on any of the hair products from mypure you'll know that I've loved them all -- and this Vitamin Masque is no exception.

My Thoughts:

After washing my hair I towel-dried it before applying this leave-in conditioner. It is quite thick and creamy and spread very easily over my hair. I left it for 5 minutes before I rinsed it off.

Afterwards it left my hair beautifully soft and shiny, I was really pleased with how my hair felt and looked.

The next time I washed my hair I left the Vitamin Masque on for an hour (you can leave it on overnight - though I've never tried that). Again, it rinsed off very easily, and again it left my hair looking glossy and in really good condition, even though I'm always colouring it so it's probably not in very good condition.

I'm going to keep using this regularly, and leave it on for up to an hour, which seems to be enough for me.

As with all mypure products this contains no sulfates, parabens or phthalates. It comes in a 150ml tube and sells on their website for £7.49. It seems expensive but I think that after just one application you'll really notice a difference.
